The Sisters of the Infant Jesus (IJS), founded by Blessed Nicolas Barre in 1662, arrived in Malaysia in 1852. Headquartered at historic Convent Bukit Nanas, the IJS sisters established dozens of premier Convent schools nationwide, promoting women's education, care for the marginalized, and parish catechetics.
